There are three main challenges for designing high-performance electric motorcycle batteries: high current discharge due to the need for a high-performance motor, high impact from speed and rough terrain, and high electromagnetic interference protection.

Discharge

The High current discharge requirements demanded by performance e-motorcycle is a challenge for the battery. Many design considerations must be carefully carried out to maximize the driving experience and balance out its impact on cycle life.

Interference

The rising popularity of e-motorcycle in delivery & sharing has presented the e-motorcycle industry with an incredible opportunity to thrive. However, this opportunity also comes with a set of unique challenges for the e-motorcycle manufacturers and their battery suppliers to overcome. To stay competitive in the D&S industry, the fleet operators are facing constant pressure to cost down. At the same time, the harsh demands of the vehicle's operating condition mean that there is little room to compromise in quality. The operator is thus caught in the middle with the sweet spot between quality and cost getting narrower. The typical operating condition of D&S vehicles has two defining features. First the vehicles are used with high frequency. Second the vehicles are constantly exposed to the extreme temperature outdoors.
